Given a choice between the interstate and driving down a long street, stopping at e-v-e-r-y light it seems, I take the interstate. Either way, my reflexes are kinda quick, therefore, before anyone has a chance to upset me, I'm gone! :)

All of what these people were doing is such a waste of energy. I've had my moments, but prefer to forget about it and move on. Reading this post lets me know that I should try to stay that way!

You'd be so good at teaching an anger management class. :) Anitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08180243708565855383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-87945134895324247542013-04-10T15:17:36.603-07:002013-04-10T15:17:36.603-07:00You summed that up nicely Rebecca and there are ju...You summed that up nicely Rebecca and there are just TOO MANY PEOPLE willing to behave badly on such trivial matters.
Now...on to lighter MORE important matters...banana cake!
:)Jill from Killeny Glenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13639521470702814007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-14778374507425099912013-04-10T15:08:28.611-07:002013-04-10T15:08:28.611-07:00ugh...give someone a little bit of power...put the...ugh...give someone a little bit of power...put them behind the wheel and they think the world revolves around them...smiles..i think we have set ourselves up for it...overstressed schedules cause us to rush...we push off expectations on others...its rather sick...and carzy world we live in at times..Brian Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722940075884718007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-20702381875051288992013-04-10T13:30:31.115-07:002013-04-10T13:30:31.115-07:00I'm sorry to hear that, Lucille! We were all crying and he would definitely have teased us about that, big time. You know, I've never read the full version of the book, just kids' versions.
As for Ivanhoe, it's only a matter of time, I'm sure. I have just this minute come in from a short car journey where I was honked and shouted at complete with finger and snarling face by a man who didn't think I had got out of a junction fast enough for his liking. It is a dangerous right turn at a busy crossroad and there was no way I could have dodged out any quicker than I did, and certainly not in response to his bullying. He lost all of 30 seconds of his precious time and I am left feeling agitated and upset.Lucillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14414527658216916537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-77241642359041432922013-04-09T00:19:25.976-07:002013-04-09T00:19:25.976-07:00A woman and her two girls watching Scotts romance....A woman and her two girls watching Scotts romance. If they pulled the arrows from book and film you'd not see a male within a mile of it. Even Scotts original is a bodice ripper.
It's actually a wonder what with all the fuss about the Templers they didn't render a new film version of Ivanhoe. I, like you, just don't happen to be one of them, and don't get why everyone has to be quite so pumped up when they drive. I am a relaxed driver, which is not always a good thing, though I am aware for the most part. I think my driving personality does not fare well in the city where everyone is quite agressive, so I just avoid Vancouver. My husband is a very aware and focused driver, and his driving is sprinkled with plenty of expletives directed at other drivers, but mainly under his breath. You make a very good point about the 'fight or flight'.

What do you mean I am on my own? Plenty of us like Robin Hood ;) Dirk is welcome at our table as long as his bike is without a powerful engine...haha. Actually, Richard Armitage is more Emma's style these days. He's also in Spooks.Rebecca S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16409572371302109142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-52263390590738708082013-04-08T04:42:40.864-07:002013-04-08T04:42:40.864-07:00Driving by it's nature causes you to be hyper-...Driving by it's nature causes you to be hyper-aware. You have your adrenalin well above normal levels so it will take very little indeed to shift that intensity back to where it was designed to be directed.
It's fight or flight and driving is again by nature, forward directed. This is to the good in general as it allows you to react to an unexpected occurrence like a kid running onto the street.
In the scenario you described you have one man really frightened by the tail-gating by the other. When you add this 'righteous indignation' and fear to the hormones you have an explosive combination.

On the Outlaw you are on your own. Just don't be shocked in a few year if those girls land a guitar playing dreadlocked biker guy home for dinner saying this is Dirk.
