I was getting so much spam.
She is a good farm dog because she has a job there, important for her sort of dog. I'm not sure of what breed we'd consider for living in town. I used to want a border collie, but they have a little too much energy. They really need to have a job like herding chickens, unless their owners want to spend hours running or throwing tennis balls.Rebecca S.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16409572371302109142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-77413689810263433412013-08-22T08:02:22.867-07:002013-08-22T08:02:22.867-07:00Apparently, she sleeps through the night on the fa...Apparently, she sleeps through the night on the farm! I'm really not sure about the dog in our future. They are a lot of work, and I am a cat person as well. So, we will see. But I really like your daughter's assessment of payment in cuteness, so true. You know you want one of your own, great meme too!Abbyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05853360875281742784noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-6123808089071138492013-08-21T12:23:41.687-07:002013-08-21T12:23:41.687-07:00So do you see a dog in your future? I must say I don't think I could tolerate the disturbed nights, they are bad enough as it is, but then I'm not factoring in the reward side of the deal which I know is ample compensation for most dog owners.Lucillehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14414527658216916537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-49064631486925587932013-08-21T12:18:58.543-07:002013-08-21T12:18:58.543-07:00Thanks, LC, and yes she is adorable. I know pets often win over the most hardened of male hearts against them :) I think my husband's dislike for cats came from when he lived with someone who had a 20 lb Himalayan that shed like crazy and wasn't the nicest of personalities. He was very sweet to my parents' family cat, Kiko. Yes, I would suggest borrowing one, to see how it goes, as long as it's comfortable with your family in the first place. Pets are a lot of work, but as your daughter said, they pay us back with so much. They give unconditional love. But I agree everyone must be committed to having one in the house, because they become a member of the household.
I love all animals, but don't have a dog because they do require more time than cats do. We have three cats.
Actually I had them before we got married. My husband wasn't keen on the idea of having cats and I was going to be moving to his home. I actually thought about finding homes for them, but couldn't do it. I decided the cats were a part of the package : ) He agreed and it worked out great. They won him over completely and I must say that he won them over. Two of them enjoy sitting with him now more than me! But I am still the favorite of Bear ; )Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5133586152925723487.post-50304108641688100382013-08-21T09:41:09.018-07:002013-08-21T09:41:09.018-07:00oh no, sounds like a case is being built to win da...oh no, sounds like a case is being built to win dad over on getting a pups now...ha...this is good for me to read....as we are considering a pups for the boys...maybe we should borrow someones first...smiles.Brian Millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00722940075884718007noreply@blogger.com
